Debate card finder and evidence search engine

Card it is an AI-powered card searcher: describe an argument in plain language and it finds matching debate evidence from public case archives for PF, LD and policy.

How it works

  1. Pick your event and datasets. Choose Public Forum, Policy or LD and the season archives you want to search.
  2. Describe the argument. Search by argument or keyword, for example a link, an impact or an author’s name.
  3. Read the tag and cite. Each result shows the card with its tag and citation so you can judge quality quickly.
  4. Use it in your prep. Build your file from the strongest cards, and clip your own where the library has gaps.

What is in the library

Card it searches evidence disclosed in public case archives. Datasets cover Public Forum, policy and Lincoln-Douglas, including a multi-year archive and recent high school seasons such as the 2026-27 policy, LD and PF sets.

Free accounts can search a subset of datasets. Paid plans unlock every dataset.

Why search instead of scrolling files

  • AI-assisted search matches what an argument means, not just exact words.
  • Results come from many teams’ disclosed files in one place.
  • Quickly compare how different authors support the same claim.

What you can do with a result

  • Filter by event, season or topic with the dataset chips above the results.
  • Hide cards arguing the opposite side of your search, or show them with one click.
  • Read the tag, cite and highlighted text exactly as the card was cut.
  • Copy the card with its formatting into Verbatim or Google Docs.
  • Download the original disclosed file the card came from.
  • Search Block it for prewritten responses on current topics.

Card finder vs searching files by hand

Without a card finder, finding evidence means opening team pages on the debate wiki one by one and using Ctrl+F inside each file. That works when you know whose files to read. A card finder starts from the argument instead, searching every disclosed file at once and ranking cards by how well they match what you need.

Use evidence responsibly

A card you find is a starting point. Read the full source and check that the tag matches the evidence before you read it in a round.
